Small Kids Moment: Valentine’s Day Window Art Posted by nichole on January 28th, 2012 at 6:28 pm DSC 6846 300x199 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window ArtMy daughter and I have done our fair share of crafts together. I’ve loved some and have been disappointed by others, but I never thought I’d enjoy a project as much as I loved making the glitter play dough last month. But yesterday, glitter play dough became our second favorite project. My friend Merry recently shared with me a recipe for homemade window clings. I loved how hers turned out so much that I couldn’t wait to make them with Katie. We both absolutely loved this project! When I have all of the ingredients on hand and clean up is this easy? I’m a happy mom. Although our window clings are Valentine’s Day themed, you could do these for any holiday or even just because. Here’s what you’ll need for this project: white school glue liquid dish soap food coloring glitter (optional) bowls paintbrushes wooden skewer (optional) plastic page protector template (we found our heart template here) And here’s what you’ll do: dsc 6821 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art Gather up your ingredients. thumbs dsc 6821 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6822 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6829 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6830 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6832 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6833 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6836 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6839 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6846 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6848 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6861 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art thumbs dsc 6862 Small Kids Moment: Valentines Day Window Art

Make your own window cling with Elmer's glue and page protector sheets! Tip from the comments: You can use partially-used bottles of glue and just add the food coloring and soap into the glue bottle and shake it up well. Then the kids can apply it straight out of the glue bottle which reduces mess to clean up afterwards.
