Project Linus Project Linus has a goal to comfort children with blankets. Crocheted blankets are donated to help children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Baby crochet afghans, preemie quilts, no sew fleece blankets and more are accepted.
Project Linus is an organization that SFU supports by providing handmade blankets to children who are ill, traumatized, or in need. Do you know how to sew, knit, crochet? Do you want to learn? Get involved with Project Linus!
As Charles Schulz’s Linus character from the PEANUTS® comic strip was comforted by his blanket, Project Linus strives to do the same and more for children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Nearly 400 chapter coordinators collect blankets from thousands of “blanketeers” across the United States and then distributed to these children provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort.
