The kitchen comes to life with its custom, knotty alder cabinets. Distressed and glazed, the euro style cabinets magnify the warm hue of the timbers and compliment the granite counter-tops and travertine backslash Kitchens Design, Logs Cabin Homes, Cabin Kitchens, Interiors Design, Decoration Idea, Homes Kitchens, Logs Homes, Kitchens Idea, Dream Kitchens
Rich walnut cabinets by Robert Bakes lend a warm, inviting atmosphere to the kitchen of a modern house by designer Alexandra Fazio of Cecil Baker & Partners. The backsplash is hand-troweled plaster, made to look like an old concrete wall.
The kitchen served as both cooking and dining space, since the Snows chose not to create a separate dining area at first. (They’ve since created a dining room with a recent addition.) The kitchen cabinets are knotty pine crafted by a local cabinetmaker, while the countertops are faux granite. The kitchen doors leads to a deck that stretches across the back of the house.
Consider removing some of your cabinet doors to utilize open shelving. I've done this often, especially to update #vintagekitchens.
