May 2009 - The Northwest Railway Museum relaunches Washington Steam Railroads and Locomotives, a website conceived of and developed by local rail historian Brian Fritz, who was active in several regional railway heritage groups including the Northwest Railway Museum.

Aug 8, 2012 - Twelve youths from all over the United States threw switches, performed brake tests, coupled cars, stripped shellac from Chapel Car 5, switched out railroad ties and even ran locomotive 4012 during the debut of RailCamp Northwest earlier this month. They spent two days at the Northwest Railway Museum.

Sept 20, 2013 - Thirty-five Microsoft employees volunteered at the Northwest Railway Museum during Day of Caring 2013, setting up 1,200 cubic feet of collection shelving, planting native plants around the Train Shed, working on window screens and seats for coach 218, cleaning the chapel car, and prepping windows for painting on coach 272.

Oct 19, 2012 - The state of Washington Utilities & Transportation Commission approved 20,000 dollars from the Grade Crossing Protective Fund to pay for upgrades at a railroad-highway grade crossing located at the intersection of State Route 202/Bendigo St and Northwest Railway Museum's tracks in the city of North Bend (Railway Track & Structures).
