Babe Ruth -- On April 27, 1947, the Yankees hosted Babe Ruth Day at Yankee Stadium in honor of the legendary star. At the time, Ruth was in declining health and would die a year later at the age of 53. Since that day 65 years ago, April 27 has served as baseball's unofficial Babe Ruth Day.
