The shuttle Discovery, the most journeyed spacecraft of the now-retired U.S. fleet, on Tuesday made its final flight from Florida toward the Washington area museum where it will go on display.

This amazing machine is flying for the last time. Friday morning the shuttle Enterprise buzzed NYC on the back of a retrofitted 747, en route to permanent display at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. Happy landings!
