Cheapie plastic-handled scissors take gold spray paint pretty well! If you want, you can tape off the blade, but I just sprayed right over it (I didn't spray the insides of the blades though - they sat in the closed position the whole time I was spraying). The neon green pencil holder and hot pink catch-all (another picture on blog) are made from inexpensive glass thrift items with paint swirled/glazed on the inside and left to dry.

    This is not something I normally associate with cement , very clever . I come from St Marys which has a cement plant , so I know cement.

Hmmm...if I could just figure out how to attach this to the wall. But a stand would be handy for not having to reach across the room to grab a different pair of scissors. Just put it where you are...
