Roseanne Roseanne was one of the most successful series of the late '80s and early '90s. It always received great ratings and was awarded with 4 Emmys, 3 Golden Globes and 4 American Comedy Awards. The show ran from 1988 to 1997 and ended with one of the most original (and confusing for some) endings in TV history.
Taxi: TV series aired from 1978 to 1983. It focuses on the employees of the fictional Sunshine Cab Company in Manhattan. Alex Rieger is disillusioned with life, Elaine Nardo is a receptionist at an art gallery, Tony Banta is a boxer with a losing record, Bobby Wheeler is a struggling actor, and Jim Ignatowski is an aging hippie minister. The characters also included Latka Gravas, their innocently wide-eyed mechanic, and Louie De Palma, the despotic dispatcher. The series won 18 Emmy Awards.
