An enamelled gold and gem set pendant by René Lalique, depicting a medieval female figure accompnaied by a greyhound in a wooded scene. The jewel is known as 'La Princesse Lointaine', after the central character, played by Sarah Bernhardt, of Edmond Rostand's 1895 play.
