It is hard getting back into the groove after vacation! Part of the Points of Two Project: Credits: Date Stamps by Roben-Marie Designs; Doodley Scribbles and Doodley Do by Jenna Desai; Stitch it Up by Syrin; Hip and Little Little Circles by Sausan Designs. The letters were hand drawn and scanned into my computer and then converted into PS brushes. Got to love those brushes!

dawn clements ~ Untitled (Colour Kitchen), (detail) This piece is really sweet to me, Dawn Clements paints still life's of her current home environment. Theres something really modest and real about this painting and I think because of the placement of the images (and the detail) you get a sense of this being a cozy environment that you would want to spend time in. I like her use of detail, it's highly patterned yet there are nice empty spaces where your eye can relax.

This piece was created by the feminist artist Barbara Kruger. She began as a conceptual artist in 1989 then shifted her focus to the prevalent issues in today's society regarding body image and how society entraps woman to view themselves as imperfect. She utilized the idea of shattered mirrors to depict how woman feel when they look into the mirror and don't see what society desires.

Duality. Opposites. In the bad there is good and in the good there is bad.
