Peldaños del Cañón Where you are: Pailon del Diablo, Ecuador Where are they going? The steps descend to the bottom of one of the most famous waterfalls in South America. Along the way you may get lost in the fog and it is extremely slippery and steep. The lookout provides a dramatic view, accompanied with hummingbirds, gulls and other local birds.

Canyon Steps, Pailon del Diablo - Ecuador

Dangerous path at Pailón del Diablo waterfall in Ecuador (by Manojo).

Imagine climbing these steps. Looks like an adventure to me! :) Pailón del Diablo

"Rainforest Canyon." Taken in Oneonta Gorge, Oregon. Apparently it's just a few miles east of Multnomah Falls on the historic highway. The hike is great for all ages that can walk and it's about a half mile, but straight up a river and has a cool log jam. The canyon only gets about an hour of daylight to the floor, so if you want any warmth, start the hike at 11:45-12:15ish. There's a giant waterfall at the end, with a pool you can swim in.
