Peldaños del Cañón are the stairs descending to the bottom of ‘the Paílón del Diablo’ [“Cauldron of the Devil”] -one of the most famous waterfalls in South America. A fairly large waterfall, located on the Pastaza River, is just 30 minutes away from the town of Baños in Ecuador. It can be viewed from the suspension bridge or walk along the paid path [could be steep & slippery] for a dramatic closer view. Fog can be risky too.

Peldaños del Cañón (Rungs of the Canyon) Pailon del Diablo, Ecuador Designed to descend to the bottom of one of the most famous waterfalls in South America, lost in the fog along the way in many cases. It is extremely slippery and steep for several tens of metres to a lookout where you can see the dramatic effect, accompanied by hummingbirds, gulls and other local birds
