Peldaños del Cañón are the stairs descending to the bottom of ‘the Paílón del Diablo’ [“Cauldron of the Devil”] -one of the most famous waterfalls in South America. A fairly large waterfall, located on the Pastaza River, is just 30 minutes away from the town of Baños in Ecuador. It can be viewed from the suspension bridge or walk along the paid path [could be steep & slippery] for a dramatic closer view. Fog can be risky too.
