Rembrandt Peale: The Sisters (Eleanor and Rosalba Peale) At the age of 20, Peale married 22-year-old Eleanor May Short (1776–1836) During their marriage, Peale and Short had nine children: Rosalba, Eleanor, Sarah Miriam, Michael Angelo, and Emma Clara among them.
