Homemade Laundry Soap: From the Duggar Family Site - Works out to a little more than 1 cent a load! And the savings are even greater the next time you make this because the only thing you’ll have to buy is the Fels-Naptha soap bar. Supposed to be good for cloth diapers as well. Totally worth trying!

homemade laundry soap - Works great! (This recipe makes a soap powder.) I've been using it for over a week and I like it a lot. No more $9 bottles of detergent! I figured it out. The whole recipe cost $5.75 per batch (18 cups), which makes enough for 144 loads, or 4 cents per load. this link works

5 min DIY Laundry Soap: Grate two bars of Fels Naptha, then run the blade in your food processor that turns it into "powder."  It won't be quite as fine as real powdered soap, but very close.  Then add two cups of Borax and two cups of washing soda.  It only take TWO TEASPOONS to do a large load.  I have a soup spoon that holds two teaspoons that I use to measure. -- The hardest part is thinking that two teaspoons will do the job, but it does!

Homemade Foaming Bath Soap...might look great in antique bottles I've been collecting!

ingredients for homemade laundry detergent: borax, washing soda, grated ivory soap

homemade and eco-friendly: homemade laundry soap

Homemade laundry soap for 1 cent a load! My friend showed me her bucket of this last night. She has an HE washer like I do, and said its worked great - and it smells great too! Tide gave her trouble with her towels like me - they came out all crackly and hard. She said this new homemade detergent makes them soft and very nice to use now. Definitely going to do this!

Have a friend who used this and she says it works great and she saves a ton Homemade laundry detergent. I doubled the recipe and used Fels-Naptha instead of ivory. I also threw a cup of oxygen powder from Whole Foods in.
