On Mount Zion, just outside the walls of Jerusalem’s Old City, stands the Benedictine Abbey of the Dormition of Mary. In the crypt of the church is a small rotunda housing a life-sized recumbant statue of the Dormition – Mary in sleep before her Assumption. The dome of the rotunda contains beautiful round mosaics of six women of the Old Testament, and one is this of Eve, with the serpent behind her, holding an apple, and bestowing a blessing

They live in a garden at the end of the world in the land of sunset that is filled with apple trees with golden apples. The trees are guarded by a Dragon who allows only the gods and the Hesperides to touch the apples. Herakles went to their guardian to complete his last labour.
