Even though you don't need to name your character "Mr. Stick" if you are entering my "Mr. Stick of the Week" notebook page contest, a lot of my kids do. 7th grader Henry, for example, has many different adventures for "Mr. Stick" throughout his notebook. I think this one, involving Mr. Stick and a cat, is a nice example of a story that can be written in two ten-minute sessions of Sacred Writing Time. Here is 2 day's worth of writing from 7th grader Diana based on this SWT slide: Just so you know, the second day, which was spent coloring and decorating, was done on her own time. In-class SWT is always about the writing, and I usually don't allow coloring or drawing. Interested in our Sacred Writing Time slides? Link: http://corbettharrison.com/products.html#swt
