Each student is given a ticket (from 1 to how ever many students you have in class) at the beginning of class and meets me at the designated conference area in the room when they hear the & and their number appears on the projector screen. Kids love it!

Not a lot of writing with this Mr. Stick, but it captures a great memory and is clever with its use of pencils. When my kids groan because I tell them we are starting a new essay, I always do say, "Your groans only make me stronger," which is followed by my best evil laugh: Mwoo-ha-ha-ha!
