The bronze statue of David (circa 1440s) was sculpted by Donatello and is famous as the first unsupported standing work of bronze cast during the Renaissance, and the first freestanding nude male sculpture made since antiquity. It depicts David with an enigmatic smile, posed with his foot on Goliath's severed head just after defeating the giant.
"Louis Dewailly, mayor of Amiens, decide in 1888 to construct a clock in the neighbourhood of the railway station. The iron column was built in rococo style. A few years later, sculptor Albert Roze added a statue in bronze of a women (the godess of spring).
