Rosa Odorata 'Mutabilis'. This graceful rose is over a century old, and is often listed simply as 'Mutabilis' to avoid any botanical confusion. This is one of the first to flower in late spring, and continues well into autumn, with a steady succession of vivid red buds which open soft yellow, turn pink and finally become a spectacular orange crimson.
Solanum jasminoides 'Alba' - I remember this incredible climber in my parents' garden when I was a girl. It climbed up from a shady spot to completely cover a red brick wall from top to toe in pretty pagoda white flowers.
