~Outback Steakhouse Copycat Marinade~ 1 c good quality ale; 2 tsp light brown sugar; 1/2 tsp seasoned salt; 1/4 tsp pepper. Marinate steak in ale for one hour not over night. Mix sugar, salt & pepper in bowl until blended. Remove steak from marinade, rub both sides of steak with mix. Return to refrigerator for another hour. Grill outdoor, in a pan or on a cast iron skillet on med to high heat. Yum!
Outback Steakhouse Wedge Salad. I must have overcooked the honey and vinegar because it came out like goo and hardened to a sucker! Not good for a salad, so we didn't eat that part. And a wedge, well it's fancy but not really practical for the home salad. So, we'll stick to chopping the greens and adding varied ingredients depending on the mood. 9/20/12
Best Steak Marinade in Existence 1/3 cup soy sauce 1/2 cup olive oil 1/3 cup lemon juice 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 Tbsp garlic powder 3 Tbsp dried basil 1 1/2 Tbsp dried parsley flakes 1 tsp ground white pepper 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper 1 tsp minced garlic Combine all ingredients. Pour marinade over meat. Cover, and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Cook meat as desired.
