"I’m scared to have days at home. She doesn’t nap, falls asleep on me while feeding, or only sleeps in the carrier/pram after 30-60 mins walking & then only sleeps for around 30min. The only time she sleeps longer is in the car & 1-2 hrs sitting in the driveway. I’m frustrated, exhausted & simply feel out of control. I can’t get anything done. Other mums at mothers group seem to have it so together & I feel like a failure." https://www.nurtureparenting.com.au/life-visit-karen-baby-whisperer/
Harrison the 2nd baby put extra pressure on bedtime
A mum in her own words on when baby # 2 came along ... "Harry’s celebrated arrival put additional pressure on an already stressful night time routine. Daniel would insist it was ‘mummy’s turn’ to put him to bed every night. It was taking longer & getting later and later. Sometimes taking a good hour or more before he would fall asleep. It was exhausting, there was no down time for me & on top of that he would wake numerous times." Read more…

Sleep success story! 3 month baby Emily was a severe catnapper
Our 3 month baby Emily struggled to sleep. She was only sleeping for a total of 6 hours most days within a 24 hour period, so was extremely tired & irritable. The only way I could get Emily to sleep throughout the day was in the baby carrier, so consequently I was walking the streets most days like a zombie! My husband & I were exhausted. We received Karen’s details after visiting the doctor for reflux. After my first call with Karen I was instantly filled with confidence
What mum did after her 7 month old baby 'failed' sleep school
A baby sleep success story ... "As a mum and baby who ‘failed’ Tresillian, my family were at the end of our sleep tether before we met Karen. Our baby was 7 months old. He’d started life with nasty reflux and had never formed the habit of properly linking sleep cycles. A friend recommended Karen ..." Luca learns how to sleep through the night at 6 months
Mum of 6 month baby: ".. where do I begin .. After I spoke to you that afternoon, I was a little apprehensive to say the least about starting sleep training. As we discussed I was feeding Luca at least 2 times per night if not up to 4 times. The thought of him sleeping through & not feeding him seemed unachievable, however I was going to give it a go as Luca was already eating 3 meals a day & I was sure he just wanted to be comforted by me and was not actually hungry .."
A mum's story: How I helped my baby move beyond 35 min catnaps by learning to better recognise tired signs.
Julia was the quintessential catnapper. She was a colicky baby and would only do 45min at the time, only rarely she would surprise us with a longer nap. The nights were not that bad and that's what kept us going hoping for a change in her behaviour or what I ofter hear "she will grow out of it". Click to read more of mum's story
