Elf on the Shelf Day 3: The boys finished building the workshop they received on day 1. They had so much fun decorating it, and using the stickers to decorate themselves, that Freddie and Quintin's stuffed deer pal wanted to join in on the fun! Quintin also recreated a science experiment he learned at school, so Freddie experimented with coloring marshmallows too!

Day 13: On a night that I would be taking the boys out caroling with me along with some if my coworkers (I'm a hospice SW'r), Freddie told the boys that Santa made them honorary helper elves and asked them to hand out candy canes to the residents they visited at the facilities. Another lesson in giving back at Christmas time.

Elf on the Shelf Day 14: We decorated the tree last night, but Freddie thought we needed more decorations. He hung snowflakes around the house for the boys to find. They found all all 20! After school, they will be able to decorate them and hang them on the tree.

Elf on the Shelf - The Christmas Bag of Love! "Jingles", our elf, left the boys a Christmas gift bag, art supplies, and a mission. Decorate this bag with love, then fill it with canned goods that less fortunate families will love, and then we will donate the bag to Salvation Army.

Elf on the Shelf - Family Pancake Breakfast: ELf Style. This last week, my children's elf "Jingles" has been explaining the importance of giving to others. This morning he felt that they should appreciate the things that they have, starting with family. So, we all sat down together and ate elf sized pancakes.

Elf on the Shelf Day 7: Yesterday, Freddie accidentally got knocked off the table, taking a tumble to the ground. He has sustained a concussion, and is on bed rest for two days. No flying or playing. He is unable to report to Santa, and has asked the boys to visit him in person tomorrow night.

Good Deed Elf Day 18, 2014: The boys made out their Christmas wish lists last night. Freddie found them and delivered them personally to the North Pole! The boys woke up and found that they had received a letter back from Santa Claus! They made it onto the nice list!

Good Deed Elf Day 19, 2014: It's pajama day on this last school day of the year. Freddie and the boys' elf pals brought the boys new pajamas and a fun game to play at school.

Elf on the Shelf - "Jingles" brought back snowflakes from the North Pole and turned the boys' breakfast milk BLUE! (Note to parents: the blue food coloring in the milk over night CURDLED it! So, one bite of breakfast cereal and the kids were gagging and sputtering! I do not recommend this!) luckily, "Jingles" also brought Christmas cereal, so we just made bowls of that with regular milk...
