Enough With the Protein, America

Americans are wolfing down about twice as much protein as is recommended. The latest dietary guidelines from the U.S. government advise men to consume 56 grams of protein a day; for women it's 46 grams. Meanwhile, most Americans do not eat enough fiber (as recommended). Eating enough fiber gives you better gut bacteria.
