❦ The Armour-Stiner House, also known as the Carmer Octagon House, Irvington, NY — a unique octagon-shaped and domed Victorian style house built in 1859-1860 by financier Paul J. Armour. The octagon style has been referred to as the brain house, and rightfully so. Before he designed houses, architect Orson Fowler practiced phrenology, the study of the skull’s bumps and contours to determine one’s character.
Galveston TX Gothic - Victorian house. The 21-room mansion features 32 stained-glass windows, four fireplaces and a widow's walk; inside, it's full of opulent Victorian features, including a grand paneled staircase, ceiling reliefs and elaborate chandeliers. Yes, Please :)
Victorian Architecture: Stone facade with a green roof that seems to "drip" down onto the stone. Large wrap-around porch. Lots of pillars. This reminds me of the house in that movie Doctor Zhivago. Beautiful house.
Villa N.: another interesting old Victorian house with an add on in the back which I would tear down if I bought it. On the other hand, the more I look at the photo the more it feels haunted by ugly ghosts. No thanks; I would not pay a copper penny for it.
