environmental graphics - this is great because it combines functional drainage with typography while protecting the root system of a street tree... no reason they couldn't have chosen a more interesting font though
Example of floor-announcing wall signage at the Thompson LES Hotel, located in the Lower East Side, New York. Simple lines without extra decoration. Major design choice was to add edgy (litterallly) graphic tension by making the typography actually cut-off on the edges. This takes a lot of control. Well done.
