LOUIS XVI and MARIE ANTOINETTE~ Cameo gem-set ring depicting Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette~ late 18th c. The layered agate cameo is engraved with profiles of Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette. The cameo is surrounded by rose cut diamonds and the top of the cameo has a diamond and ruby set crown. ~Only three similar rings survive. Likely made at the birth of their eldest child Marie Thérèse of France in 1778.
