do you have any easy suggestions for getting the batter into the ketchup bottle?
@T, Make the batter in a bowl with a spout and use a funnel to pour directly in.
tried this - not sure how to fully get ketchup remnants out. Washed with hot water several times and even ran through dishwasher, but still had pancakes with a ketchup flavor. gross.
@Liz Shults, try filling it with baking soda and warm water and let sit overnight. That will help remove any ketchup odors and taste.
You could just put the batter in real pastry bag, or a make-shift one using a zip bag that you cut a hole in the corner,
@Donna Ceravolo, that is genius! lots less things to wash!!
@Donna Ceravolo, great idea!
Nice idea but no matter how many washes or soaks the nasty ketchup flavor still remains.
Add Baking soda and hot water and let soak over night
The dollar store has empty ketchup and mustard bottles or clear vinegar bottles you could use. No flavor issues!
i do this, with squeezable jam bottles
Will unused batter keep a few days in this you think?
use a squeezable condiment bottle to make any shape pancakes you want...mickey mouse ect...saw that on Nurse Jackie...lol
but you still have to get the batter in there...
