Through social interaction, the status set or roles of girls and boys, and moms and dads are supported and passed down to the next generation. Children are taught from a very young age that women cook and depend on males who work. This is upsetting because a young girl's mindset is taught that because of her gender she must have to rely on a man for finical support.
