~ glow stick xylophone ~put the glow sticks in cups of water and an aura comes off in the dark, when you tap them ~ probably the coolest thing ever ~ this would be a fun activity for our first grade SOUND unit ~
If I had a pool I would totally try this out. Put a glow stick in a balloon for pool lanterns. Pool party on a Summer night! I think this could work pinned up on the fence of a backyard without a pool, too, so really great idea for any outdoor BBQ/party!
Send a photo of your child's drawing and they turn it into a stuffed animal! I would love to do this with my kids when they are old enough to start drawing/coloring. It would be a great way to extend the life of their first "real" picture
Homemade Bath Crayons from Little Crunchy Mama: Buy some glycerin soap at a craft store. Melt it in the microwave, add food coloring, and pour into an ice cube tray. Takes about an hour to cool completely, then pop out of the mold and you have crayons!
Take a 2 liter soda bottle, poke holes in it. Attach to a garden hose. Toss over a tree branch and let hang for a kids water sprinkler. You can loop it over a tree branch and let kids bat it around for more watery fun!
