Day 23 of a 28 day yoga challenge. One of my yoga instructors compared the practice of yoga to peeling away the layers that we build around ourselves to help us get closer to your true self. The longer I practice the more gets peeled away. The hurts, the judgements, all the things I've been holding onto that no longer serve me. Child's pose is a refuge. It reminds me how good it feels to unburden myself & surrender to the present with an open heart. I am so grateful for that. Balasana

I need to remember this and quit getting discouraged about my weight. I should make it more about feeling better than looking better.
