Apostle James, Brother of Jesus was the son of Joseph, a Nazorite (abstained from wine, meat, fornication), and Apostle of the Lord. He was the first bishop of the Church in Jerusalem and presided over the Council of the Apostles. James was thrown from the roof of Jerusalem Temple by Pharisees and Scribes for refusing to renounce his faith (AD 63). He composed the first Liturgy.
