"Everybody is ignorant, only on different subjects." — Will Rogers (1879-1935) "From Nuts to Soup," The New York Times, August 31, 1924 — Image: [These two were pretty much ignorant on most subjects.] George W. Bush winks while delivering the State of the Union address in Washington DC (January 28, 2008) and Sarah Palin winks during the vice presidential debate at Washington University in St Louis, MO (October 3, 2008) — #ignorance #willrogers #quoteoftheday
The Tea Party's big hero - brainless with bravado and an arsenal of big guns. In describing his tea-bagger Dad, one comedian said that as they watched the debate, and Sarah Palin winked, his Dad turned, and said, "How did she know I would be watching?".
It's not a good sign when a potential president fouls up a famous quote, particularly when she's reading it off of a piece of paper and when she picked it up from a Starbucks cup earlier that morning. Sarah Palin told an crowd, "There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't support other women." She was misquoting Madeline Albright, who once said, "There's a place in Hell reserved for women who don't help other women." In this case, "help" and "support" may be polar opposites.
