Belle Epoque evening gown by Liberty Company Ltd, London Paris. Circa 1910 to 1919. Was sold in an English department store belonging to the family of Calgary entrepreneur Joseph Stanley. This design is rich with lace, embroidery multi hued silk voile.
Evening dress, by Widoff, New York, 1911-13, Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens. High waisted Edwardian party gown with a narrow sheath underskirt of plain silk charmeuse and a multilayered overskirt of silk lawn. The short, full lace sleeves cover a white lawn undersleeve edged with miniature pearls and ending in pearl tassels. A pale turquoise satin waist sash backed with bright pink satin closes on the left side with a decorative oval medallion of the pink ribbon flowers.
