Six Slices of Bacon, 1/2 Cup of Coarse Sea Salt, 3/4 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper. Cook bacon until VERY dark in a preheated 350 degree oven for 20-25 minutes. Drain & Cool. Finely grind in processor, add salt, process salt with bacon. Add pepper. Process. Airtight Jar. Refrigerate. Use on everything (potatoes, steak etc)
Homemade Kahlua For any of you interested in making this, make sure you plan ahead. You have to make the Kahlua and then let is set for six weeks. I made mine in the middle of November, so they would be ready to give by Christmas and the recipients could have a drink right away. Homemade Kahlua: 2 cups hot water 2 cups sugar 1 tablespoon instant coffee 1 tablespoon vanilla 2 cups vodka 1/2 cup good brandy
