Paint Technique: Watercolor Bubbles

Coat tile with alcohol. Drop little spots of ink onto tile. Allow ink to slide around a bit before adding the next color. The colors blend together the longer they sit. Cover surface completely. Use a paper towel to dab if too much ink was added, then recover with another color. Dry and spray with a coat of aerosol finisher to seal the colors. Dry and paint the sides of the coasters.

Cheap glasses, rubber bands, and frost spray paint. Place rubber bands how you want, then use Rust-Oleum Frosted Glass spray paint, waiting 2 min in between coats. Once dry you will want to use a sealer to make it water resistant. You can use Krylon Matte Finish Spray or Krylon Crystal Clear Acrylic Coating.

This is brilliant- rubber bands wrapped around the vases, then spray it with the craft spray that 'etches' the glass & remove bands. (easy)
