This Eskimo legend tells about the earth when it was populated only by men. One Eskimo man, while hunting in his kayak, came to an island that he hadn't seen before. He paddled over to the island and there was a strange creature,Woman. He took her home to the village. Every time she became pregnant she didn't have one child or two, but twelve, or thirty, or sixty babies, and they were always girls. And that's how we got here.
