The Atlantic Ocean Road in Norway. I MUST go to Norway (eventually) and experience this amazing road … but not during a storm. Norway is a totally fascinating place. (there are several more photos of the Atlantic Ocean Road on this board)
Phare de la Vieille One of the most famous French lighthouses, this tower is built on a rock that half way from mainland to Île-de-Sein. In big sea storms, waves crash against the lighthouse and seem to swallow it - but La Vieille always keeps working.
Round Island Lighthouse, Straits of Mackinac, Michigan, USA (Lakes Huron & Michigan)/ Went right past this beauty on the ferry from Mackinaw, MI to Mackinac Island. How did I miss this? Time for another trip north.
Yes, the picture is real. Believe it or not, the man in the lighthouse was not killed. He was awaiting rescue via helicopter. That was the only reason he opened the door. Taken by Jean Guichard during a storm in 1989 off the coast of Brittany France,
Rage in color, By Veselin Malinov. An amazing picture. Exquisite composition, with the interesting, eye-catching shape made by the waves and the burst of color in the form of the lighthouse amidst the waves.
