The power of period piece costume designers

Inspired/recreations. Movies or otherwise. text from page "The power of period piece costume designers - Wildfox inspiration for artists - Inspiration for artists from Wildfox Couture"

Very light historical fiction, but I enjoyed it. After reading mostly of the Tudors, I think I will look into more books about Marie Antoinette now.

MA-inspired on etsy..... Marie did not invent the 'pouf' headdress, but she was responsible for popularizing it and turning it into a way to convey a tone or message about the things she advocated. Poufs were usually about 3 feet high, but could soar even higher. There were several known pouf deaths by women who accidentally got them caught in lit chandeliers, ugh.....

Maria Antonia, Archduchess of Austria, and later Marie-Antoinette, Queen of France, as portrayed by Kirsten Dunst in Sofia Coppola's 2006 "Marie-Antoinette."
