Wright Brothers take flight
My great uncle, John T. Moore and my grandfather (age 12) were at the first flight on Dec. 17th 1903
Wow! That is such an interesting and fun fact to know about your grandfather and Uncle. How exciting ! Thanks for sharing that! I have always been fascinated by those brothers and the theory of flight! As a matter if fact I have an "office window" at 35,000 feet myself! Thanks Ray
I live within sight of the Wright Brothers Memorial, on Colington Island. My Dad was crew chief on C-119's and C-117's in the USMC. I have spent my adult life working on various aircraft in the USMC (39 yrs.) as well. My son in law is a pilot as well. My granddaughter loves airplanes too! I guess we have been in the aviation business since 1903!
Went to the Air/Space Museum today at Dulles!
