Bet you couldn't tell this sunny bedroom is actually located in a basement. Sarah maximized the small amount of natural light with plenty of crisp white in the room's walls, bedding and flooring. A bold, graphic wallpaper adds textural interest while the custom, arched headboard in a cheery green shade really pops.

An adorable idea for a headboard; home decor mimics fashion with these felt flowered embellishments. Wool cut out flowers (make or buy) and attach to a like-coloured headboard. This one in linen. Simple and feminine.

This reminds me of thoughts I have had about a quilt headboard... (Having lived many years in earthquake country I am sensitive to the idea of anything heavy hanging over my head while I sleep... But a quilt should be safe!) We have a quilt hanging above above our bed. It is beautiful!
