This is by far the best book in the Hunger Games trilogy. I wasn't a fan of the Hunger Games because of the selfishness I felt encapsulated Katniss's survival. However, Catching Fire more fully develops the themes of sacrificial love, standing up to corruption out of moral uprightness and not just personal desire, and taking action against evil without participating in evil yourself.
