Yes, some people really do suck. Why invite them into YOUR precious life? God gives us a finite number of days above ground. Why pollute a single second/minute/hour/day/year with a sucky person? If they were the tray that raw chicken comes in, how long could you stand to leave it in your kitchen trash? Time to kick those stinky peeps to the curb trash can for pick up, baby!
I read a psychology study once that said participants who held a pencil in their teeth were happier than those who held one in between their lips. The difference? Holding a pen with your lips forms a frown. Holding one with your teeth forces a smile. :-)
Forgiveness is a decision. We decide to cut off the bitter root and plant a seed of love. We cannot blame ourselves if it does not grow; sometimes the other party has poisoned the soil too much. But we must keep the bitter roots cut and plant more and more seeds of love. Forgiveness begins when we make that choice; long before we see the results.
