BREAD PUDDING: Whisk together 1 c whole milk and 1 c half & half. Place about 4-5 c torn stale bread in large bowl. Pour milk over sit 10 min. Stir. In another bowl, whisk 2 eggs with 1 c sugar & 1 T vanilla til well blended. Add chopped apples & raisins to egg mix. Put 2 T unsalted butter, melted into bottom of 9x9 baking dish. Coat sides and bottom. Spoon bread mix into dish. Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hr or til bubbly. Let cool 5 min before cutting into. Serve with preferred sauce.
