An Officer and a Gentleman (1982) - this an interesting movie, def not the cheesy love story I thought it would be, which is refreshing that it was more realistic. It was depressing at times however there were also some unrealistically optimistic parts as well. I think it portrayed the military experience with a glint of shine to it.
On a happy note two of my favorite movies are the musicals Mary Poppins and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. They may not be "right" on every concept, but they are fun, cheerful, and full of music. I love singing... and a spoon ful of "sugar" in life does help some of the "medicine" go down! We need to sing, and laugh, and play, and be silly sometimes.
Corrina, Corrina - Corina, uma Babá Perfeita (1994) When Manny Singer's wife dies, his young daughter Molly becomes mute and withdrawn. To help cope with looking after Molly, he hires sassy housekeeper Corrina Washington, who coaxes Molly out of her shell and shows father and daughter a whole new way of life. Manny and Corrina's friendship delights Molly and enrages the other townspeople.
The Blind Side - The story of Michael Oher, a homeless and traumatized boy who became an All American football player and first round NFL draft pick with the help of a caring woman and her family. This is such a beautiful story and Sandra Bullock is amazing. #TheBlindSide
