All set in the urban cities of New York and Philadelphia, modern day girls find themselves able to interact with fairies who have been hiding in plain sight all along.

Black Heart by Holly Black is a fantastic end to a fantastic series. This is one of my favorite YA series of all time! Totally original and engaging.

If you are ever looking a great travel stories book, you have to read this. Three women quit their New York jobs for a trip around the world. A great summer read and a guranteed way for the travel bug to bite.

The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black

The main reason I got into Holly Black was because of her tales of the faeries. Tithe, Ironside, and Valiant were my favorite books when I was in high school. In 2013, she dabbled into the world of vampires and it was an okay book but had nothing on the faerie tales she wrote. So when I heard about this new novel I was really excited and she did not disappoint.

This was a very uplifting and lighthearted book set on a train during the Christmas season. (I have a love trains and have always wanted to take a ride across country, as seems so adventurous). I listed to the book on audio and offered great sound effects, which made it very realistic and put you in the mood and the narrator Tim Matheson was excellent. Reminded me a little of Richard Paul Evans’ books as his books tend to be centered around the holiday season.
