Good Idea for kids when they finish their homework or chores earlier than expected

I really like these finisher task cards. After students complete their work early classroom management can be tricky. These reminders give them ideas of what they can do to use that time wisely.

I especially like the last one, so import at for teachers to build and maintain a sense of community in their classroom......... Dismissal Checklist - I love this! Maybe give a few more minutes - I love the last item on the list!

End of the Day Dismissal Checklist. I think I would make this the 5 minutes before dismissal checklist. 1 minute is just not enough time for kids these days!

great idea This is one of my FAVORITE classroom management tools!! It can be soooo time consuming to answer the questions...Can we use markers?, Do we turn this in?, Is this a talking activity? I love using these assignment choice signs to answer those questions without me doing the work. Once I give directions for an activity, I quickly place checks and X's by the cards and my students know exactly where to look for the answer.

Pledge... Perfect for our school. We have our students say this daily... And we can place it in their data notebooks and students can refer back to it when needed.

First Grade Wow: beginning of year school pledge. Nice unit to go with it focusing on school rules. Perfect for poetry day on Monday!

Each time a student BLURTS out loud without raising hand they have to take one down. Last person to have all 3 gets rewarded!--I've seen this implemented in a first grade classroom with a lot of success!

It's called a "Blurt Chart". If students blurt out they take a happy face off the chart (they are velcroed on). They have 3 chances throughout the day. You can take minutes away from recess, etc. for each happy face taken off the chart.
