Robert Tanella was a costumer for film, stage, and TV, including 10 seasons of Cheers. He died on December 16, 1992, at 42 years old, at his home in Los Angeles of complications from AIDS.Later he was on the "Cheers" crew and had been with the show for 10 seasons.His numerous TV credits as a costumer, costume supervisor or costume master included "The Tortellis," "Brothers," "The Two of Us," "The Associates," "CPO Sharkey," "Fun Factory," "The Carol Burnett Show" and "Maggie".

Cheers. One of the best character-driven shows of all time. Watching it reminds me of my childhood, especially the antics of Norm and Cliff. They reminded me of two best friends ("adults") I knew as a kid. And Carla had the funniest lines. Bar Patron: "Excuse me Ma'am, do you have a Clavin here?" Carla: "Yes, it's at the end of the hall on your left" LOL
