EASY ZIG-ZAGS TUTORIAL! You will need: several nail polishes, a plastic baggie, pinking scissors (zig-zag), and an X-acto knife OR cuticle nippers.  Take your colors and paint tiny rectangles onto your plastic baggie (don’t paint your base nail polish color).  Wait 24 hours (I like to wait until it’s completely dry! If not, it may be difficult to peel off) and peel the rectangles off the baggie.  http://s-lacquer.tumblr.com/post/27854585689/easy-zig-zags-tutorial-you-will-need-several#

Make two dutch braids with hair. Fatten out the two braids by pulling apart the outer edges. Line up the two braids so they begin to look like one big fat braid. It's important to make sure the middle section of the mermaid tail lines up--don't worry if the ends of your braids (the hair that is sticking out underneath the elastic) are uneven. Pin the center of the two braided sections together. Start with the pin facing horizontally, then as you push it into the hair, you direct it vertically

even though these were for halloween, they're just as good year round if you do them in your favorite colors of the season!
