The Gateway Arch was designed by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen and German-American structural engineer Hannskarl Bandel in 1947. Construction began on February 12, 1963, and ended on October 28, 1965. The monument opened to the public on June 10, 1967.

When up in this as a kid and took my son up in it in 2008#Missouri the Arch in St Louis. 1985 we took a vacation and rode in little capcules to the top. Glad thats over with.

Visiting the Meramac Caves in Missouri. It was such an awesome sight for Frankie and I. We were around 10 & 11.... Loved going camping, sliding down hills and exploring the land.
