'Last Tango in Halifax' (2012-) Ongoing British romantic drama series that stars Derek Jacobi and Anne Reid as widowed septuagenarians, Alan and Celia, childhood sweethearts who have been apart for 60 years. Re-united via a social networking site, they meet, fall in love and plan to marry. ~Reid and Jacobi enjoy having the chance to play out a love story between older people that is not ageist and stereotyped.
'The Ruth Rendell Mysteries Collection' (1987-2000) is a British television series comprised of adaptations of the works of best-selling crime writer Ruth Rendell (Baroness Rendell of Babergh), many of which are based on her extensive range of short stories. Her stories are both mystery, thriller and suspense. I like company when watching these unsettling programs. '>)
The Wingless Bird (1997) Mini-Series - 7/10 ---- This is like a soap drama among period drama still I liked it. I found the aristocrat's love for the shopkeeper's daughter less realistic, and some other issues but I loved Agnes Conway's character.
