Navajo-Language Immersion Program Offered to Kindergarteners in Shiprock, New Mexico | SpokenFirst, kindergartners at Eva B. Stokley Elementary School in Shiprock, New Mexico now have the opportunity to learn in Navajo only. This is the first time students have had the option to engage in an entire language immersion program. Parents who elected to enroll their children are excited that they will have the opportunity to learn Navajo from an early age.

All girls in Years 3, 4 and 5 performed for a very appreciative audience of parents, siblings and staff at the Instrumental Immersion Program Concert in the Assembly Hall.

Tom Potter oversees a variety of strengths-based programs and a staff of 38. He is a consultant in Creative Problem Solving and Parent Education. He is co-author, with Bea Parnes, of Parenting Playfully, a book for parents of children from pre-natal to age three.
